Hello,
There are no predefined layouts when you install the theme without demo content. Those layouts appear as you create new pages.
The main purpose of predefined layout is when you want to use the same Content Manager elements on the page you are creating as they are on any other existing page.
If you install the demo content, predefined layouts will be available as they are on the website and you can use them on any other page.
